Zelená Radxa Rock5B s fialovou rozšiřující deskou v 3D tištěné bedně

Bedna s SBC ležící na boku. Jeden 7seg displej je zasazený ve svém chlívku, druhý visí z bedny. Oba displeje shodně ukazují číslo 5

Zapojeno. A po odpoledni stráveném ve Vimu i funguje 🥵
Aktuálně se spíná ventilátor v bedně při 60°C na plno, zatím žádné pwm 😕 To je problém pro mě v budoucnu 😄

Fialová deska tištěného spoje osazená všemi komponenty: modrý DC/DC step-up modul, 2x 74HC595, NPN tranzistor BC547, 18x 220R rezistor a headery pro 7seg displeje a ventilátor

Konečně 🥳
Tenhle Frankenstein je podružná deska k #Radxa #Rock5B, která by s pomocí trochy Rustu měla obsloužit 2x7seg displej a ventilátor pro můj mini desktop.
2x8bit posuvný registr by se měl starat o ukládání hodnoty a tranzistor BC547 o PWM ventilátoru.
Snad to nevybouchne 😄

Naked Radxa Q6A, no case just on some brass stands, passive copper cooler keeping the SoC, a Qualcomm QSC6490 from throttling.

Terminal with a neofetch output showing a mildy custom ubuntu 24.04.3 running the Radxa single board computer, SoC is a Qualcomm QSC6490 with 8 GB RAM LPDDR5 @ 5500MT/s and GPU is a Adreno 643.

Finally got my copper cooler delivered so I can test my #Radxa Dragon Q6A #SBC and man this thing is insane, if my use of a microSD would not hold it back, then you could fool someone to think its a regular PC, also first SBC to play #OpenArena flawless that old game beats those normally.

Should be interesting being the first SBC with an Qualcomm SoC. Will be a lot fun thing with #Batocera and should be way faster then the PI4 I use for that.

The **Radxa Dragon Q6A** is a credit card-sized computer that looks a lot like a Raspberry Pi. But it’s an interesting little device for a few reasons. One is that it has an m.2 slot with support for PCIe 3.0 x2 2230 SSDs. And another is that this little computer is powered by a Qualcomm DragonWing QCS6490 processor. Like most single-board Computers (SBC) with Arm-based processors, the Dragon Q6A officially supported several different GNU/Linux distributions when it first launched earlier this year. But this month Radxa announced that the board now supports Windows 11 as well. So far the company is only making “an initial release” available, which may have “some bugs of unverified features. It is intended for testing and development purposes.” But download links and installation instructions are available in the Radxa forum. Technically Windows has supported Arm architecture for many years at this point. But so far Microsoft has only _officially_ supported hardware with Qualcomm processors, which is why you don’t see official Windows builds for SBCs from Raspberry Pi or other models that use non-Qualcomm chips. As CNX-Software reminds us, there _are_ some Raspberry Pi-like systems with x86 processors like the Radxa X4, ODROID-H4+ and LattePanda IOTA that have no problem running Windows. But the Radxa Q6A is pretty unusual as an Arm-based SBC with Windows support. The 85 x 56mm (3.3″ x 2.2″) board’s QCS6490 processor is an 8-core CPU with four Cortex-A78 CPU cores and four Cortex-A55 cores, Adreno 643L graphics, and a 12 TOPS NPU. The Radxa Q6A supports up to 16GB of LPDDR5 memory and offers several options for storage, including eMMC or UFS modules, a microSD card reader, and M.2 connector for an NVMe SSD. Radxa Dragon Q6A Arm SBC gets official Windows 11 preview While most people use Linux on Arm SBCs, it’s typically possible to run Windows 11 on Arm boards with UEFI support, but with caveats such as the GPU and VPU not working and other issues. One solution is to avoid the Arm architecture altogether and go with an x86 SBC like the Radxa X4, ODROID-H4+, or LattePanda IOTA, among others.
