Buy MJX H12Y+ jeep/truck thing. Throw original wheels away and buy 12mm hex alloy beadlock rims. Fit 100x35 tyres with no foams and seal rims with black RTV gasket compound. Replace plastic portal gear covers with brass ones. Add Fanta to taste et voila! Bon appetit.

One of the most irritating facets of RC vehicles is finding a driver figure that's the correct scale. I thought that Cassian Andor would be a good fit but his tiny little legs don't reach the pedals. Had to shell out a small fortune for the GI action figure, who's perfect.

Morning testing brought to a shuddering halt by a loose grub screw on a drive shaft coupling.
I was patting myself on the back for taking the new portal axles apart and greasing the gears and bearings up, but did I threadlock all the grub screws? Dear Reader, I did not.

Cacksels, which is a word I invented to describe axles that are cack.
#RCsky Commonly available metal axles (or cacksels in this case) for the MN99 which are let down by loose fitting drive shaft bearings and soft steel internals. Chewed up and bent after a few hours. Do not buy this design.
