Real Grade Shining Gundam performing a pose from the anime (episode 7? 9? I forget)

RG Shining Gundam flexing it's improved articulation upon the older and cheaper HGFC Shining Gundam, which is taking mental notes from the background.

RG and HG Shining Gundam each in Hyper Mode utilizing their signature move "Shining Finger" to defeat a single Death Army soldier. Seems a bit overkill.

Snapped together the RG Shining Gundam. A very nostalgic design for me, as my first Gundam show/toy in the early 2000s. This model is a joy to pose, with lots of neat hand options and an impressively simple transformation.

Hi, hello. Been a while, I know. Sorry about that. Life's been... something else. Anyway, the Sinanju frame replacement broke on me and had to order a new one before I could pose it. It was my fault. Thickened peg too much. But now it is nice to pose, for he most part.

Fun fact: this was the 2nd Real Grade I ever built. Sadly, I made a few mistakes on the build, and it's disintegrating on me. So I grabbed a new copy. Wish it would get reprinted, so I wouldn't have to spend $60+ on eBay for one. Oh well. Can't wait to build it again

RG 1/144 RX-93 Hi-Nu Gundam completed assembly, rear view (Tamiya black panel accent, Delpi holo water slide decals, Krylon 1311 matte topcoat)

And here’s a shot from the back with all topcoating complete.

I haven’t photographed it from this side until now. I’ve gone back and forth on whether I like the Hi-Nu with or without all the extra stuff, but from this angle, I do think it looks pretty cool and unique!

RG 1/144 RX-93 Hi-Nu Gundam assembly without backpack (Tamiya black panel accent, Delpi holo water slide decals, Krylon 1311 matte topcoat)

First half of topcoating the Hi-Nu is done!

It made the biggest difference on all the blue and gray pieces. The holo effect on the decals got diminished by the matte spray, but I kinda prefer it this way, and they still look really nice.

Backpack and the rest up next.
