Stunning telescopic image of the often-overlooked reflection nebulae NGC 1977, NGC 1975, and NGC 1973 in Orion. These nebulae, located near the Orion Nebula, showcase the beautiful blue reflection of light from hot young stars off interstellar dust. These nebulae, located near the brighter Orion Nebula, showcase the blue reflection of interstellar dust illuminated by hot young stars. Dark regions within the nebulae create the illusion of a running man. A portion of the Orion Nebula is visible at the bottom of the image. The entire scene is approximately 1,500 light-years away.
