The #ReichstagFire — #ThisDayInHistory in 1933 — is often thought of as a #Nazi #FalseFlag. It was, in fact, a heroic, misguided act by a Dutch communist, Marinus van der Lubbe. Dismayed at the lack of resistance to Hitler, he hoped to inspire more proletarian #DirectAction.
