Draft would pause ALPR and CCTV data collection for 60 days when data could be used in immigration or reproductive-health enforcement A draft bill (TMP12288), sponsored by Council member Rankin, would extend a mandatory 60-day pause to Seattle Police Department ALPR data and require pauses when footage might be used in civil immigration, reproductive-health or gender-affirming-care enforcement; committee members asked staff to clarify whether the pause should trigger only on judicial warrants.

Seattle's proposed bill could freeze police data collection for 60 days to protect residents seeking reproductive and gender-affirming care from surveillance overreach.

This is F*CKING RIDICULOUS!

I am SO TIRED of women being relegated to walking baby incubators. The healthcare industry is corrupt AF. They do NOT prioritize female health because they don't value/respect females.

Study Finds Seasonal Variation in Sperm Motility Across Different Climates A new international study has found that sperm motility, or the ability of sperm to swim effectively, peaks during the summer months and declines in winter. Researchers from the UK, Canada and Denmark analysed semen samples from 15,581 men aged 18 to 45 in Denmark and Florida. Despite the significant climate differences between the two regions, the seasonal pattern was strikingly similar. Sperm motility was consistently highest in June and July and lowest in December and January in both locations. Interestingly, the researchers found no seasonal variation in total sperm concentration or ejaculate volume. This means that while the number of sperm produced and the amount of semen released remained stable throughout the year, the sperm's swimming ability changed depending on the season. Since sperm motility plays a crucial role in successful fertilisation, these seasonal fluctuations could have implications for couples trying to conceive. The study, published in the journal Reproductive Biology and Endocrinology, suggests that factors beyond ambient temperature may influence sperm quality. Even in Florida, where temperatures are warm year-round, sperm motility still followed the same seasonal trend observed in Denmark. According to Professor Allan Pacey from the University of Manchester, who co-authored the research, the findings indicate that temperature alone cannot explain the variation. Researchers note that the optimal temperature for the testes is slightly below core body temperature, around two to four degrees lower than 37°C. Deviations from this range can negatively affect sperm motility. The findings highlight the importance of considering seasonal patterns in fertility assessments and treatments, potentially helping to improve reproductive outcomes.
