Hope to enjoy the #ssbadger next month. Start in MI with my brother, spend the night at a WI friends home, and the 3 of us back to MI the next day. 8 hours (4x2) on a beautiful historic ship has been calling my name for a long time. Calling WI name too. May Mother Nature Be Kind to all.

The SS Badger is the last operating coal-fired passenger steam ship in the U.S. It became a National Historic Landmark in 2016 & they plan on converting it to a cleaner fuel in the future.

We warmly welcomed the S.S.Badger back to her birthplace for shaft bearing repair, but I managed to catch an aspect of the shipyard that makes her berth look sorta shabby for such a grand lady.
