Big British Navy ship, not finished. Above water fully, floating on a barge that’s berthed on the Firth of Forth side of the Port of Leith.

Two Bromptons on the steel fence at the old disused lighthouse at Western Harbour. Golden Hour making them look dang good.

Shadows cast from the sunset of my wife and I on our Bromptons riding along the gravel on the Western Harbour breakwater.

Grabbed the Bromptons for a quick spin to Western Harbour to check out this new Navy vessel currently moored on the new outer berth at the Port of Leith.

I’ve read it’ll be lowered into the water via the barge it’s sitting on, neat!

Lovely evening to be out, has summer returned? 😅

5 ships all coming in. The Antares cargo way in the back near the Port of Leith Distillery, followed by the tugs, and the Boskalis Magnor being towed past the other Bokalis ships to berth.

Better shot of the Boskalis Magnor on the side, large towers dominate the ship as well as a massive crane at the back. The rear sits very low in the water, well below the ship’s normal waterline.

The Northern Lighthouse Board’s Pharos on its way through the Albert Dock out of the port.

An inch of ice has covered many of the docks over the week, and the sound it was making as it plowed through was exhilarating and very sci-fi with all the pew pew pews!

Golden hour lighting on the Vestri Enabler from Edda Wind. Large offshore wind farm service ship, with a bright red hull and yellow uppers including towers, cranes, and service lifts. It’s backing into the docks, but you wouldn’t know it since the photo isn’t moving. As it’s two weeks old, I don’t think there’s a scratch on it yet.

Today’s #ShipPosting is a stunner.

Edda Wind is an offshore wind service group, and the Vestri Enabler is just over TWO WEEKS OLD!!!

Great to see it coming into Leith this afternoon. Appears it is getting refueled while here, and then it’ll be off to help make the wind out on the sea somewhere.
