Page 8/8 of Fucked up, featuring Swallow (a fox, he/him) and Pebble (she/they). Swallow stands at the mouth of his den, lost in thought, when a voice startles him: "Hey!" It's Pebble. He yips, and Pebble laughs. "Pfft. For a pred, you're pretty unobservant." She stares at him, thinking through the situation. "So... obviously this will require ground rules." Later that night, Pebble is curled up in Swallow's arms again. He stares at them, confused. He's still thinking through everything Sam said, and everything that happened. He's having trouble connecting all the dots, figuring out why this otherwise helpless bunny that was scratching up his face a couple of hours ago is lying completely limp and relaxed underneath him. He can't figure it out. He keeps staring tor another minute, making connections, thinking through all the angles. Then he curls up and sticks his nose under Pebble's chin and the two of them drift off to sleep together. Whatever's going on, he's gonna go along with it <3

They ponder for a second. "Honestly I don't think you're *capable* of ruining this." The two of them sit in silence while Swallow tries to process this. Sam admits: "I did tell them to bite you if you caused any trouble though." Swallow doesn't have to say anything for Sam to understand what he's thinking. "What?" Sam counters. "It's good advice! I'd give it again. Am giving it. To multiple bunnies. They're ALL gonna start biting you." Swallow: "..." Sam shrugs. "Well then you'll have to stop peeing on them, won't you?" Swallow: "..." Sam isn't buying it. "No I know what you were thinking. It's just that it was really, really dumb." Swallow walks home, confused, lost in his own thoughts - trying to process everything that's happened today.

Swallow is flabergasted. He genuinely doesn't know how to react, the thought that Pebble chose to room up with him *instead* of Sam would have never occurred to him in a thousand years. Sam kind of laughs. "Weird, right? It's just something I've noticed for a while. Bunnies don't ask me for that." They elaborate: "It doesn't matter how much I practice this, or how safe I try to be around them. They come to me when they need some advice. Or an ''adult' to solve some conflict. Hell, I'm good at that. But not for stuff like this.." "Sometimes I think that's the problem. That they know I try. That makes it feel different in a way. Less trustworthy." Sam laughs again. They're not remotely troubled about this, they're just stating a fact. "Bunnies are so weird~" It's an affectionate statement.

Comic: Mostly Harmless, by Foxyoreos. A bunny approaches a sleeping fox. Very nervously, they reach out and boop the fox's snoot, waking them. They dash back out of reach, sweating and apawlogizing: "S-sorry, but-". The fox cuts them off: "Relax <3" They get up and yawn into their elbow. They're being very cautious not to alarm the bunny or accidentally show them an open mouth. They close their eyes and lick their paw to seem less intimidating. "You're fine", the fox continues. "What did you want to talk about?"
Comic: Mostly Harmless by Foxyoreos, page 2 The bun scratches their head nervously and describes the situation: "W-well... there's this new fox I've seen around, and you said that we should tell you whenever... um..." They trail off. The fox is a bit more serious now: "I did say that. Was anybunny eaten? That you know of, I mean." "Not that I know of, no", the bun admits. "But-" The bunny gesticulates widely: "BUT I think I've seen them try to grab a mouse... AND anyway, they're creepy, too!! AND they follow everyone around!!" The bun finishes: "...I guess I'm just a little bit freaked out..." The fox suddenly laughs: "Hah! And let me guess, orange fur, no facial markings?" The bunny jumps, excitedly: "Yes!" Fox: "That's Swallow, I know him." Bun: "You wat?" Fox: "Dude's a giant softy. I promise you he wouldn't hurt a fly. I'll talk to him, tell him he's being weird again." "But the mice!!" The bun points out, with concern. They're imagining mice getting gobbled up and trapped inside a growling tummy. "-are fine," the fox interrupts. "Even if they do get nommed, Swallow ALWAYS eventually releases prey unharmed." The bunny looks annoyed at this, and nervously clarifies: "Okay, admitedly, I'm sure that's pawbably not PLEASANT for them, but..."
Comic: Mostly Harmless by Foxyoreos, page 3 (end): The fox explains: "Look... he 'means well', he's just..." They roll their eyes. "If he bothers you, then bite him. I'm serious." The fox continues: "The dude's bad at body language. I'm not excusing it... just saying that you'll be safe." The bunny is sitting with the fox's tail wrapped around them. They're a bit more reassured, but still annoyed: "Okay... but what's his DEAL!?" The bun continues: "And his name is SWALLOW!?" The fox laughs: "Actually, he gave himself that fucking name!" Bun: *visible confusion* Fox: "...to make prey feel safer." Bun: *visible confusion* Fox: "...cause, you know, a SWALLOW." Bun: *visible confusion* Fox: "...he means the bird X3" Bun: "...!" The bun leans back against the fox's tail, parsing this, and exclaims: "Oh, wait! So he's not dangerous! He's fucking DUMB!" The fox laughs and confirms: "Swallow is absolutely fucking dumb <3"
