A large vandaceous orchid, Angraecum sesquipedale. It has glaucous green leaves with hand-sized flowers that have greenish white lips and petals with green sepals. Each flower has an incredibly long spur that is as long as the plant itself.

The endangered Hermon June beetle only found in Santa Cruz.
This being is a federally listed endangered beetle, and is polyphylla barbata. It is also called the Mount Hermon June beetle and occurs only in Santa Cruz county! Amazing. Love that face and hope they are able to bounce back.
