I found that blowing very gently on the bee normally results in a leg moving confirming that they arealive and resting probably waiting for it to warm up before flying.

Well the gardens quite literally buzzing today! This #bee was huge!! ๐ณ I also counted 5 Cabbage White #butterflies doing their dance around the flowers, it all looked so lovely, so peaceful but it's too hot for me so I'm back inside ...maybe later ๐๐ฑ
