Heute vor 38 Jahren: Am 20. November 1987 wurde im #Kernkraftwerk #Oskarshamn, Schweden im Reaktor 3 mit einer Messung des Abschaltspielraums (Shutdown Margin Measurement) im kritischen Fall begonnen bevor das #SCRAM System (Reaktorschnellabschaltung) einsatzbereit war.
A #scram or SCRAM was an emergency shutdown of a nuclear reactor effected by terminating the fission reaction. It was also the name that was given to the manually operated kill switch that initiated the shutdown.
