Year-round maintenance keeps real-time data flowing for research and #ShakeAlert.

Today at 8:06 AM, MyShake distributed an alert for a M5.9 event in Lyon County, NV. This was a false alert by the #ShakeAlert system and this is currently being investigated.
Not sure what happened with this alert for a supposed #earthquake in #NV, but I received a #USGS #Shakealert via cell phone alert in #SF.
