De-risking the Start of Production for Automotive SoCs The adoption of centralized, software-defined vehicle (SDV) architectures has increased the complexity in silicon design. As automotive original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers aim to integrate generative AI (GenAI) and complex sensor fusion algorithms into vehicles, the computational requirements have surpassed the capabilities of legacy silicon development workflows. The automotive industry is witnessing a divergence, as the amount of software code required to operate a modern vehicle cannot wait for the fabrication of physical silicon.
