“Yes, sometimes, a sudden, unexpected diagnosis of stage four metastasized prostate cancer happens.

Yes, sometimes, there are no known symptoms for the patient, until it gets to this point — and then it is, usually, too late.

Yes, this is something my family knows all too well.

Our journey through this began one random day when my Dad collapsed and, after a nurse performed CPR to bring him back & save his life, and then later after the hospital confirmed it was not his heart, he was diagnosed with stage four metastasized prostate cancer.

That day my Dad’s life (and our entire family) was forever changed.
It was, literally, like someone flipped a switch. Everything, in an instant, changed for Dad. He went from rarely sitting and being an active & busy retiree to struggling to walk the length of our family home.

My Dad fought like hell (and went through hell) to take whatever amount of time he could get with Mom and our family. We are thankful for the two years we had with Dad after his initial collapse and subsequent diagnosis.

Fuck anyone who says this is not possible.

I understand many people did not like or respect Joe Biden as POTUS. I get that our country has been divided and some people act like it’s okay to attack others for any imaginable reason if they are on the other side of the political aisle (or even if they’re in the same party, if they don’t bow down to every claim, lie or whim made by their dear leader). I get that America has become a team sport and is probably more tribal now than it has been in my 54 years and 11 months on this planet.

I get it.

What I won’t sit back and silently watch are people lying about prostate cancer because they want to twist it into some bullshit political conspiracy theory or they simply want one more chance to call the Bidens liars.

God damn it: stop it. Stop the fucking political bullshit and the ignorant claims …
