A macro image of a daisy chrysanthemum shot from beneath it. The focus is sharpest on the stem and softens through the petals. Other blooms in the bouquet are blurred in the background. White balance was shifted dramatically in post processing using Affinity. The flower was naturally a pink-purple flower that was starting to brown at the base into something more fiery in tone when coupled with the lighting. The light above the dining table where the image was made currently has both cool and warm white bulbs in it which I think has made a difference in what colours were possible in post. NIKON D610 105mm f/2.8 Aperture: f/4 Exposure: 1/30s ISO: 400 Exposure bias: -3

Our daughter ordered an extra donut for me, just because. She inherited the “just because” gene from her lovely mom.
So of course I had to shoot it before I ate it.
It didn’t last much longer after this photo was taken. The memory will linger indefinitely.

A photograph of a window recess or sill in an older property. Washed with lunchtime light arriving via the original window, framed in painted (cream) wood. Featuring in close up but at varying distances and focus two vases one of thicker and patterned (natural leaf like forms) glass and a larger cream colour and enamel (I think) jug. So they are abstracted to a degree. TFL as an acronym is the common TLA for Transport For London but if you have to explain the joke! 🤩
