It's turned very icy behind the occlusion this evening here in #Strathpeffer.
High today of just 2.4°C, with only 0.2 mm of rain on the front itself.
Pressure now starting to tumble at Valentia as #stormeowyn moves NE'ward.

Mild air not reached here yet Marco.
Temps are on there way back down again.
Blue skies no wind, and still a good 15 cm of snow on the ground in #Strathpeffer.
It'll be fascinating to see how it performs the transition.

The temperature in our front vestibule is currently 0.3°C.
The outside temperature is -6°C.
We live in the old Victorian station masters house.
The roof of it was stripped, re-slated & insulated two years ago.

I've just measured 10 cm of lying snow by the traditional Met Office method of the mean of 3 measurements. 😉

It lasted a full week in N Scotland not bad for an early cold spell.
It's a winter wonderland in #Strathpeffer today, with a max of just 0.2°C so far.
I imagine the kids will be sledging down the golf course shortly.

The grown very dark in #Strathpeffer as the sky fills in with CB's coming down from the N.
It's an active trough and deep convection, with thunderstorms in the Moray Firth.
It's just started to snow - big flakes - vis down t0 800 M.

It's still -7.2°C at Tulloch Bridge, a bit like here in #Strathpeffer, I doubt if the sun ever really gets down to the floor of that glen at this time of year.
In contrast its 12.3°C down on the Lizard.
