Bardwell Cottage. This row of thatched cottages suffered a fire a few days ago. It looks like the thatch fell inside the houses and out through the windows and doors. Five days later and you can still smell the charred straw.

Some lovely, soft colors this evening.
It's now 36F & will drop to 22F, which is unusual for South Central Texas. We do get cold (our standard of cold, mind you) temperatures, but this is a bit much. Another few nights of this & the pipes might freeze. ☹️
