AR 4341 is now facing us. It is the source of the CME that triggered last night’s stunning auroras. This sunspot produced an X1.9-class flare. The associated CME reached Earth in just 25 hr, with a speed of ~1660 km/s, making it one of the fastest ever observed. #sunscan #astrophotography #astronomy
