An in-progress terrarium featuring a rustic cork bark background covered with moss, a tiny wooden door set into the base, and small plants including Fittonia and ferns. A miniature picket fence lines the front, creating the look of a woodland hobbit home under warm lighting.

Every build starts with a bit of imagination. Once the moss and plants settle in this Hobbit home should look magical.

Front-facing view of a terrarium build in progress inside a glass enclosure. The background and side walls are covered with textured cork bark, while twisted pieces of driftwood create a natural, tree-like centerpiece. Dark substrate forms the base, and several gray rocks are arranged near the front, with tools and supplies visible in the background.

Working on a larger build that I hoping will house some Sonerila and Jewel Orchids.

This little world is just getting started! 🌱 A mix of driftwood, stones, and layered soil setting the stage for a cozy terrarium build. Just needs some moss.

A rectangular glass container held in one hand, with a large chunk of cork bark positioned diagonally inside. The bark is secured with bits of dried sphagnum moss at each end, forming the first element of a terrarium hardscape.

First piece locked in! This chunk of cork bark is the backbone for an upcoming terrarium build. I can’t wait to see the world that grows around it.

A tall glass terrarium featuring a vertical arrangement of moss, stone, and small animal skulls mounted on a stick. The base includes layers of substrate, pebbles, and moss, with dark rocks and a few small ferns emerging from the landscape. The overall scene evokes a mysterious, slightly eerie forest shrine.

This work-in-progress features the skeletal remains of something long forgotten, clinging to moss-covered wood like a warning left by the forest itself. Not sure if it’s haunted or just misunderstood.

A partially completed folk horror terrarium inside a tall glass vessel. The scene includes gnarled driftwood resembling dead trees, black lava rocks, patches of green moss, and two small skull decorations placed among the rocks. Condensation dots the glass walls, hinting at the humid, enclosed environment.

Back by popular demand—another folk horror terrarium in the works. Still adding the final touches, but the bones are already in place… literally. 💀🌿

A terrarium-in-progress featuring two tall, jagged pieces of dragon stone mounted vertically on a round base. The base is made of a black sponge layer set inside a wooden ring. The setup is placed on a workbench, with crafting tools and supplies visible in the background.

Started this one last night—just some dragon stone and an a vague idea. Can’t wait to see how it looks once the moss creeps in. What would you plant in here?
