Start as simple as possible. The simpler your time management is, the easier it is to stay in control. In order to control your time, you want to know every part of the system. If the system is complex, it's harder to keep track of. Effective time management is boring and easy. As you learn more about your personal time management needs, the system will probably get more complex. But always make sure you know every single part of the system.
This is actually the part of time management I find the hardest - I LOVE complicated systems. When it's simple, I get bored and start making it complicated.
However, the hard truth is that we want to be a little bored my our time management.
