S03E02 - Stanton Harcourt, Oxon.

The search for a wooly mammoth fails to turn up a pub, with the #TimeTeam crew reduced to plastic cups and a bbq supper at the 32m 19s mark. I’m also starting to think they missed a trick by not making Graphic Artist Sue Francis a recurring member of the team.

S03E01 - Boleigh, Cornwall

The search for a partially collapsed fougou (a Cornish tunnel store, basically), leads the #TimeTeam to the farmhouse kitchen at the 33m 45s mark, and a few much and well deserved needed bottles of wine.

S02E05 - Hylton, Sunderland

Digging be damned! The beers are being downed by the 15m 16s mark, and at last, after some nigh-on dry episodes, pub-drawn pints are back in vogue with the #TimeTeam, pictured at The Shipwrights, North Hylton. Mick’s on the white, rather than the red, this week. 🍷

S02E04 - Lambeth Palace, London

Now I know for a fact that Lambeth is full of pubs, because I’ve drank in a lot of them myself. Odd then that the #TimeTeam visit none of them, instead cracking open cans of beer outdoors at the 15m 57s mark in this episode. Had they already blown the S2 beer budget?

S02E03 - Tockenham, Wiltshire

I’m dismayed to report that there was neither pub nor drink to be found anywhere in this whole 47m 30s episode, which centred around the search for a Roman villa. Apparently, the village doesn’t have a pub (?!?), so why the #TimeTeam went there is frankly beyond me.

S02E02 - Winterbourne Gunner, Wiltshire.

Taking a break from the examination of a series of Saxon graves and barrows, the #TimeTeam pop into the beer garden of an unidentified pub (most likely the Winterbourne Arms) at the 32m 46s mark in the episode, for a pint (or a glass of red, in Mick’s case).

S02E01 - Finlaggan, Islay

On the search for remains left by the Lords of the Isles, the #TimeTeam are again devoid of a suitable hostelry, but Mick produces a bottle of Scotch at the end of day two - all of 30m 42s into the episode - which the team proceed to knock back on the hillside. Slainte!

S01E04 - Llangorse, Powys

A wet episode, with loads of underwater excavation, turns out to be the driest show yet. There’s no pub! Never fear though: the #TimeTeam crack open a couple of bottles of red wine to make up for it, at the 30m 20s mark. Strictly BYO in South Wales in the mid ‘90s, eh?

S01E03 - Much Wenlock, Shropshire

Tony and the #TimeTeam first pause for a well earned rest, and an accompanying refreshment or three, at 14m 10s, in what appears to my untrained drinker’s eye to be the Talbot Inn, in the market town of Much Wenlock.

S01E02 - Ribchester, Lancashire

The Roman remains in the local school teacher’s garden only keep Tony and Mick’s interest for 11m 13s, before the #TimeTeam repair to the White Bull to sample a pint or two of the local ale.

S01E01 - Athelney, Somerset

The #TimeTeam are investigating Alfred’s guerrilla camp. Although their base of operations, The George Hotel in Wedmore, is introduced and pictured at an impressively early 2m 45s, the team don’t actually sink a pint until they reach the King Alfred Inn at the 30m mark.

Ok, so let’s do this! Let’s track just how long it took Tony and the #TimeTeam archeologists to wind up in the pub drinking beer in each episode …

I’m rewatching old #TimeTeam episodes, and wondering if anyone ever produced a chart of how long it took the team to land in a pub in each episode? It’s 11m 14s into S01E02, if anyone ever fancied starting one.

All six Folklore, Facts and Fables zine and cd sets.

It’s #bandcamp Friday tomorrow. All of these (and more) are still in stock. Also, my van has to go to the garage for some biggish work so tomorrow would be a great time to buy some stuff!
Thanks!

I generally enjoy #TimeTeam but really grind my teeth when I see #TonyRobinson rushing from here to there saying "We did this (or) We did that . ." ) when in point of fact all HE did was rush from here to there!!

A crazy man digging a long hole for drain pipes

Extended my pipework and more backfilling. Continue trench and have hit archeology. Victorian brick pavers, below that a double brick wall, coal, broken bottles & another row of pavers under that.

FFS. Have another 60cms to go down yet

Does anyone have #TimeTeam number? We have just 3 days...
