I miss the ‘paper that had my loyalty for decades, including while serving overseas, but they lost me after the ownership change.

When #TortoiseMedia began their destruction of the Obbo, they replaced #journalists with photo spreads, #news and #analysis with photo spreads.
I am on Week 3 of my boycott of The Observer, after reading it obsessively for decades.
The decline accelerated fast after the Howard Jacobsen article, and #TortoiseMedia did nothing to stop the rot, turning it into the world’s most expensive advertising handout (and ruining the barred crossword).
All the old certainties, the regular features, the familiar … I didn’t buy #TheObserver today for the first time in years; excluding time abroad, the first time in decades.
#TortoiseMedia took that from me. Why buy it if you hated it so much?
It was a NEWSpaper; I can get reams of adverts free.
#TortoiseMedia seem to have taken #TheGuardian’s pro-#Israel stance for #TheObserver and run with it, hoping to grow viable sales.
My patience is wearing thin. If not for the crosswords I would already be gone, and Gemelo is nowhere near the pleasure of #Azed.
Sort it, or lose another reader.

The Observer newspaper calling out Donald Trump’s claim that “We’re putting a lot of pressure on Russia, and Russia knows that”, saying that “The reverse is true.
