I went through a similar thing. I had to prove my 1st AND 2nd marriage name changes. Total pain in the butt and I had to PAY to get a copy of my first marriage cert 'cuz I didn't have/keep the original.

Who keeps a copy of a marriage license after you divorce the guy and move on?
