In 1215 on #ThisDayInHistory, the #Catholic Church convened the #FourthCouncilOfTheLateran. In addition to establishing the dogma of #transubstantiation, it called for #Jews to wear distinctive clothing so Christians could avoid (and target) them. It also forbade hunting #birds.

I think transubstantiation might be a heresy because if the Council of Jerusalem is to be followed correctly than blood cannot be consumed. Thus if you're consuming the blood of Christ then you are sinning and breaking the law set forth by our Christian ancestors.
