It was a much-needed balm for my heart to hear these kids giggle & gasp as I read and to chat with them about animals and writing. They are all so enthusiastic and curious about everything, so it gives me an energy boost to keep fighting to make the world a better place for them.

We had a fantastic World Read Aloud Day with author @marshaskrypuch.bsky.social learning about how she feels the "moral responsibility" to show young readers what it's like to step into the shoes of people impacted by the war in Ukraine. Her series Kidnapped from Ukraine is a must-read. #WRAD #MGlit
