Two Killed, Three Injured As Roofs Collapsed In S. Afghanistan KABUL, Jan 28 (NNN-BNA) – Two children lost their lives and three others were injured, as roofs of two houses collapsed in the southern Afghanistan’s Helmand province, yesterday, said a statement of the provincial Directorate for Information and Culture, today. The incidents took place in Garmsir and Gereshk districts respectively in the wake of rain and snowfall. So far, rain and snowfall have claimed 61 lives and injured 110 in Afghanistan since last week. – NNN-BNA

Sri Lanka’s Weather Disaster Death Toll Climbs To 153 COLOMBO, Nov 30 (NNN-LNW) – Sri Lanka’s Disaster Management Centre (DMC), said last night, 153 people have died due to floods and landslides caused by Cyclone Ditwah. A total of 191 people are still missing as search and relief operations intensify across multiple districts, the DMC said. The DMC said, 774,724 people from 217,263 families across all districts have been affected by heavy rains, flooding, and landslides.
