"The Sweetest Fruit in Creation" On the outside, the Dumia, native to the Resonant Kingdom, resembles a durian or a soursop, but it lacks the durian's characteristic intense aroma and is somewhat larger and rounder than a soursop. The pulp of a dumia is similar to jelly; the seed rests in the center of the fruit—usually a single seed. The rind is soft to the touch yet sturdy enough to hold the pulp inside. The dumia's rind is sweet, as is the morning dew clinging to the fruit. The pulp is delicious, creamy, and has an intense flavor reminiscent of dark honey. The seed can be peeled to reveal a nut with an intense flavor and wonderful aroma; it's almost as if the dumia were the embodiment of an ideal fruit. Dumia is used in desserts, pastries, savory dishes and is very famous in distilling, since from its pulp a very exquisite mead is made that ages like the best wines.
