The pier was filled with the hustle and bustle of life as people came and went from ship to ship as well as the many store houses on the waterfront. Whitiker took the lead of the group, waving at sailors every once in a while, getting a varied mix of responses. Up ahead was a gallian with three masts and a polished red wood hull. The deck was well above sea level and it was rocking back and forth gently with the crashing waves.
As Whitiker approached, an Amblers woman sprinted across one of the masts and slid down the sail. Spinning in a circle as she did a backflip towards the side of the ship, she landed with her pistol aimed squarely at Whitiker’s face.
“Land worm,” She shouted at him. “Didn't I tell you I’d gut you if you came back empty handed?”
“That you did, Rivera,” Whitiker said, raising his hands. “And look, I brought you a contract, I did.”
Rivera looked at the rest of the group, her large green eyes inspecting them. Her figure standing just at six’ two” with black fur covering her body. She was a healthy weight that just filled out her clothes which were a dark grey and had a hood through which her perky ears stuck out of. A saber at her side and high heeled boots helped her stand ever taller in the face of her men.
Love this character introduction in book 2, can you guess who she's modeled after? Here's a hint, the movie is from 2002 🤭
