I started the crown but thought "nope" and frogged back to the first stripe. Reknit in narrower, neater stripes, I'm much happier with the result. It's my latest ribbed cap for #ScrapAlong2026, knit from four colorways of leftover fingering weight yarn.

Crochet stretched across my lap. There are three mid grey sections framing rainbow colored feathers. The feathers have long and narrow shafts that go up the entire strip. The grey bits are mostly half double crochet, with the feathers mostly front post double crochet and back post double crochet alternating. The grey yarn is Loops and Threads Rayon from Bamboo in 3 weight and Smoke color (works up very silky feeling). The multicolor yarn is Ice Yarns Active Angora (Angora and Acrylic mix) in 2 weight and Rainbow color (feels like a more traditional sweater texture when worked up)
Progress on my next #crochet cardigan! Been kind of obsessively working on it the last week or so. Made up the bits I had to unravel a few dates ago and then some! I think this bit will end up being seven feathers wide, will take stock at six to decide if I need it wider for me 🧶 #yarncraft
