Ri Cruin Cairn. The image shows a woodland clearing with the trees surrounding it partly in spring leaf. The clearing is largely covered by an extensive but low pile of large stones, which seems to curve round from bottom middle to mid right of the frame in a horseshoe. The scene is in sunshine.

Invasive Rhododendron is at plague proportion on west coast of Scotland. Forms dense stands which kill #lichen and stop tree regeneration. Combined with high deer numbers the death of these lovely woods is not far off. #Argyll particularly badly affected it seems. #lichengbi
