The correct side of my tablet woven band. It is a white band with a red chevron running through it as a pattern. It is currently being woven on my inkle loom.

My attempt at weaving a sample band using the ancient method of tablet weaving. The background of the woven band is a dusty pink, and the pattern itself is a light yellow. The sample band is on the edges of my light coloured couch.

My first real but crappy attempt at tablet weaving. You can see the pattern, but either I have tension issues that I need to work on or, I was using the wrong kind of wool. Either way, I have allot of improvements to do πŸ˜…

Hair jakima of the day is this jakaku sisan variant. I got the warp in a group swap and had a lot of fun finishing it. The organizer clearly got the memo about my unfortunate love for low-contrast pallay πŸ˜‚

Maiden voyage for this jakima! I pulled it out of the bag and realized I'd never removed the sonqopa and illawa. Whoops! The ch'aska pattern was annoying to weave, but I'm happy with the results 🌟

A hand-carved wooden rigid heddle with painted red mushrooms carved into the top. A striped orange, green and purple cotton warp has been threaded into the holes and slots in the heddle, with striped woven tape at one end. Heddle and wooden stick shuttle (wound with orange thread) is flat-layed on a wooden surface.
