Why are homegrown apples in the UK more expensive than imported bananas? From flooding in Peru to the fight for fair wages, a lot more goes into the price of fruit than what supermarkets charge consumers for

I just want apples (and all other produce) to not be packaged in #plastic. I'm sure there are reasons, but none of them is concern about #plastic.pollution. That said, they'd have to ID individual apples w tiny #barcode labels.

#Mahnbescheid in Deutschland: Kann man online ausfüllen, muss dann ausgedruckt werden. Kommt dann - kostenpflichtig - zurück, weil der #Barcode angeblich nicht lesbar war. Faxen (digital) geht auch nicht, weil deren Druckqualität auch nicht ausreichend ist. Brauche ich einen neuen #Drucker? Müde.
