Petunias glow at dawn, bright and bold;
Violets whisper in twilight’s hold.
Side by side in gentle air,
Two colors dancing, sweet and fair—
One loud with light, one soft with night,
But together, perfectly right.

Snap of some text from the book. "While poets can hardly be regarded as credible witnesses, the historians tend to be worse." It's from Pierre Bayle I think in 1680.

Very much enjoying Nature's Mutiny. Fascinating history, rich, well researched, interesting ideas that the Little Ice Age, a change in climate, changed society permanently.

Amusingly he quotes a contemporaneous writer, dissing historians. LoL.

Zines and Independent Publishing These are books related to zines and independent publishing - they are useful for the curious reader, as well as in a variety of courses, from social practice to graphic design.

I added some new resources to this list: bookshop.org/lists/zines-...

Had another panic episode last night before bed. I’m going to form a social media/news reading schedule today and try and stick to it. There’s too much scrolling, more than I personally need. More than anyone needs, really.

Also, next #bookscrolling vid either today or tomorrow…

Three extremely precarious stacks of books, most turned so that the heel edge is all that's visible, but a few showing enough spine for you to see that my to be read pile includes an anthology of specfic edited by the Vandermeers, some Oliver Sacks, a history of Shakespeare and Company in Paris, some Angela Carter, books on the history of books, and a Folkmanis Puppets catalog.

On Sundays, I try to make sense of my TBR, except when I'm bookscrolling, which is how my TBR got this way.
