Is this true ? #caltrain I hope not . I read this in YouTube comments - so not exactly a solid source - can anyone verify ? Why would caltrain want to exclude those of us who use a combination of train & bike to make long rides? 🚲♥️

ok, it is time for #caltrain wrapped 2025. This year I:
* rode caltrain 287 times
* busiest month: 37 times in April, followed by a three-way tie with 32 rides in May/August/October
* lowest month: only 9 times in December (lots of driving to move house stuff + vacation so less commuting)
I finally spotted it!

On a historical note: this building doesn't look like much but it predates #CalTrain; it's been here since the #SouthernPacific was running the commute trains.
This is the waiting shelter at Redwood City. It's basically a roof with some pillars holding it up, and some partial walls, but basically open air. Now a bunch of metal grates have been put up so nobody can get in there. Ticket machines have been moved out of the structure so they face the outside through precisely-sized gaps in the grates.
Came down to #RedwoodCity #CalTrain this morning and saw this.
I guess the city prefers no station at all to the possibility of unhoused folks sleeping in it. Sheesh.
Just in time for the rainy season, too (when I might actually want to go in there).
