Do you love pizza, bowling, and supporting local artists? Then mark your calendar for our Benefit Night on December 16th!
Studio Theatre Worcester will be holding a fundraiser on December 16th at American Flatbread in Worcester for our New Works Program, also known as First Stages. First Stages is an effort that will uplift and develop the original plays and musicals of emerging and established playwrights, especially artists from underrepresented communities. The program seeks to not only fund and support local playwrights, but bring their challenging, thoughtful plays directly to the community. This past February, we put on a staged reading of The Dog Days Are Now, a play by local playwright Nick Baker, which drew in an audience size of nearly 100 eager patrons. As an organization, Studio Theatre Worcester focuses on engagement and education, and we’d love your help in making our next First Stages production come to life!
Studio Theatre Worcester’s First Stages initiative will receive a portion of sales from all flatbreads sold during our benefit, so come eat some pizza and try out candlepin bowling at American Flatbread! As part of our fundraiser evening, we will also be hosting a raffle and silent auction featuring local goods and products.
