Freezing cold winter evening down at the lake as I wait for my tram home. For many of the T2000 trams, 2025 will be the last year - only a few will remain longer. So expect more photo posts in the next few months. Or mute #D2000 (maybe I'll find a better hashtag sometimes), if you're not interested.
Tram2000 on a wide traffic oriented road in the former centre of Oberstrass. The last faint rays of sunlight falling through a gap between the historic houses to the right illuminate the tram with the violet line 9 sign. Behind the tram, the terrain drops towards the lake. A small tower on the roof of a house below peeks over the street.
As so often, the sun didn't set behind Mount Uetliberg, but into some clouds above. Short stop for a photo in the last faint sunlight of the day in the centre of Oberstrass, one of Zurich's former villages which were swallowed up by the expanding city in the late 1800s.

A Tram2000 consist with a violet line 9 sign on a roadside green track in the late afternoon sun. In the distance, two high buildings, one of which has "Glatt" written on it.
The sun returned for some late afternoon photos. At the opposite end of the network, in the far north-east, this line 9 service is heading away from Wallisellen's "Glatt" shopping mall on a road side green track, built for the late 1980s network extension to Schwamendingen garden city.

My favourite part along the new Limmattalbahn light rail line (also used by tram 2) is this area here with it's insane contrasts between post-war suburban housing and absurdly out of scale recent office buildings.

Doppel-Tram2000 an einer menschenleeren Haltestelle inmitten einer völlig leeren Strasse. Es ist Nacht und es regnet. Die Strasse ist nass, im Schein der Strassenlaternen ist der Regen zu sehen.
Himmeltrauriges Mistwetter gestern Abend. Da schickst du echt keinen Hund vor die Tür. Aber was willst du machen, wenn ausgerechnet an diesem Tag mal wieder ein Tram 2000 vorbeischaut...

Grünes Rollband der Linie 11, falsches Ziel «Messe/Hallestadion». Auf dem Gleis in der Gegenrichtung ein Cobra-Tram der Linie 6 zum Zoo. Im Hintergrund die hell erleuchtete Fassade des historischen Südtrakts von Zürich HB.

Und wieder klafften gestern Abend zwei Lücken auf der Matrixanzeige, wo eigentlich das Rollstuhl-Symbol sein müsste. Das bedeutet: #Tram2000! Zum Glück geh ich kaum mehr ohne Kamera aus dem Haus.
