Trilogy complete: finished Cixin Liu's Death's End, a somber reminder of mortality and decision-making gone wrong (or right?) That middle section with the 3 fairytales - a masterclass in (mis)communication and foreshadowing.

The ending meant that a lot of the earlier story just highlighted the meaningless of the main characters activities. All the human culture artefacts were lost forever, even the ones that Xin took with her. Also disappointed that Tianming and Xin never managed to reunite.

I was disappointed that human society did not manage to use the clues from Tianming’s stories to actually survive. I get that the author was trying to show a realistic human society that self-sabotaged itself to extinction, but I was still hoping for that denouement.

『死神永生』読了。SF好きな多くの人が考えるであろう宇宙の行末の描き方や「未来のシミュレーション』としての面が特に楽しめた。書きたいこと書いてる感が強くて楽しいだろうな、と。「歌い手」のシーンも面白かった。
他方人物描写の弱さも極まった感じもあり、『黒暗森林』ほどのカタルシスは感じず、ラストの展開も(巷にあるれる情報からなんとなく想像ついてたのはあるけど、それを差し引いても)なんだ惜しい感じが。
シリーズとしては『三体』が結局最も好みだったかも。

Úristen, én alig tudtam letenni. A #ThreeBodyProblem kínai keletisége annyira érdekes új színt hozott a sci-fibe ami nagyon frissnek hatott.
Nekem a #DarkForest volt a kedvencem. A #DeathsEnd is remek, de az már kicsit ilyen borongós agonizálás mégha zseniális kérdéseket feszeget is.
