Weekend thought.
I avoid #AI but use #Denoise etc AI features in #Lightroom. Is it also heavily environmentally damaging? What SW etc could I use instead?
What if sharing my delight in #birds and forests I end up causing them harm instead?!
Any views?

Lightroom won't/can't Denoise rather old DNGs.

Any (free) denoising work arounds?

Seems the DNGs from my 15 year old 10MP camera have fallen off Lightroom's scope, as they're 'not pristine' - i.e. been moved between a few laptops.

I know Bsky isn't the best for pixel peeping but I just bought PL8 on it's Black Friday sale and I'm amazed! ISO6400 f4.5 1/250, no flash. First is the original, second is with backlight correction, third is with the new XD2s denoise and sharpening!
