The Euros Icelandic 2025 team celebrating. “In a world full of Kardashians, be a dóttir!”

I honestly thought the Icelandic football team would have gone with their first names on the back of their shirts as they don’t really use last names in Iceland.

“-Dottir” meaning daughter of.

Apparently the team voted on the names to have and #dottir feels unifying to them. ❤️

Dóri DNA heitir líka Halldór Laxness.
Var lengi á bömmer að vera ekki svona kúl með ættarnafn, en síðan sagði besta vinkona mín í Japan (‘08) að ég ætti _alls ekki_ að skipta um nafn ef ég giftist því -dóttir væri svo iconic.
Það var fyrir #dottir crossfit gellurnar.
Þannig er bara mjög sátt í dag😌.
