Porth Wen Brickworks built by Charles E Tidy in the middle 19th century is a disused Victorian brickworks that produced fire bricks, made from quartzite (silica) for lining steel-making furnaces. Long abandoned it sits on the beach at Porth Wen, Llanbadrig near Cemaes Bay, Anglesey and although it's on private land walkers and paddle boarders make the trip to marvel at the remains.
