"You sense no presence, hear no noise, but you catch a glimpse." A white face with ragged black hair peers out from behind a tree. Its one visible eye is wider than should be possible, and its smile stretches beyond where lips once were. You've heard of Him before. The White-Faced Betrayer, The Smiling Fallen, The Eternal Apostate, these are but a few of the names the Forest Dwellers call Him. It is said he was once chosen by the Grove God, but betrayed him, stealing what power he could to remain eternal. For those not of the faith, he is known primarily as The Killer. Rumors say that he lived before The Fall. Some say he might provide insight for the time before if you should survive an attack. Of course, there are none to confirm as such.

"I still don't know who you are? I mean-" You sit in silence. The speech only continues when you will it so, and you do not. You ask yourself why. Why must you be here, not next to her? She is next to you, is she not? And yet, your existence cannot reciprocate. You are trapped in reality, she is free in fiction.
