“무채색 절망 안에 피어난 목소리”…지천·남예지, ‘Fallin’’ 협업→재즈 감성 울린다 #지천 #남예지 #Fallin’ 싱어송라이터 지천과 재즈 보컬리스트 남예지가 만났다. 두 사람은 프로젝트 싱글 ‘Fallin’’을 통해 새로운 음악적 울림을 선보였다. ‘Fallin’’은 오늘 정오 국내외 모든 음원 사이트에서 공개됐다. 이번 신곡에는 2025년 제22회 한국대중음악상 최우수 재즈 보컬 음반상 수상자 남예지가 참여해 음악 팬들의 귀를 사로잡았다. 지천은 그간 ‘해항’과 ‘조립식 가족’ OST, ‘신병2’ OST 등에서 탁월한 멜로디 감각과 단단한 메시지로 대중의 사랑과 평단의 인정을 동시에 받아온 싱어송라이터다. 남예지는 그동안 특유의 재즈 보컬 색채로 깊은 인상을 남긴 바 있다. 이번 신곡을 통해 두 아티스트는 각자의 음악적 색을 한데 모았다. “무채색 절망 안에 피어난 목소리”…지천·남예지, ‘Fallin’’ 협업→재즈 감성 울린다 / 루비레코드 ‘Fallin’’은 끝없는 우울과 절망이라는 무채색 세계에서 빠져나오려는 인간의 내면을 그렸다. 곡은 “끝없는 우울과 절망으로 끝내 무색채 세상에 스며들겠지만 그럼에도 해답을 찾아가려 한다”라는 철학적 메시지를 품었다. 프로듀싱은 인기 힙합 그룹 배치기의 ‘마이동풍’, 키네틱 플로우의 ‘현실에 2% 부족한 연인들에게’, 엠씨스나이퍼의 ‘To be’ 등을 작업한 이명재가 맡았고, 국내 정상급 재즈 피아니스트 전영세가 피아노 연주로 곡의 완성도에 힘을 더했다. 편곡 면에서는 풍성한 오케스트레이션과 잔잔한 피아노 선율이 조화를 이뤘다. 지천의 담담한 목소리는 무채색의 세계에서 각기 다른 아픔과 절망을 끌어안은 이들을 떠올리게 했다. 그들은 희망이 사라진 듯 보이지만, 지천의 목소리가 남긴 울림은 쉽게 사라지지 않았다. 남예지 또한 기교 없이 담백한 톤으로 “감정은 내려놓았으나, 절망은 여전하다”며 자신만의 메시지를 전했다. 두 보컬은 각기 다른 울림으로, 희망을 찾고자 하는 음악적 메시지를 거침없이 전개했다. 무엇보다 지천은 “해답이 없는 걸까, 괴로움도 모든 후회들도 모두 아우르는 답”이라는 가사를 통해 흔들림 없이 자신의 작사 능력을 드러냈다. 정제된 멜로디와 깊은 철학이 한데 어우러져 신곡의 감동을 배가했다. 뮤직비디오는 광화문에 위치한 국내 대표 재즈 클럽 ‘야누스’에서 촬영됐다. 이 공간에서 지천, 남예지, 전영세가 한 장면에 모여 공연을 펼쳤다. 영상 역시 곡에서 느껴지는 음악적 품격을 살렸다. 지천과 남예지는 서로 다른 감정선을 유지하면서도 희망 없는 세계에서 느린 걸음으로 앞으로 나아가자고 말했다. 두 사람의 목소리는 무채색의 세상에서 조용하지만 힘 있는 위로를 남겼다. 지천은 이번 곡 발매와 함께 27일 저녁 루비살롱에서 대만 싱어송라이터 릴리와 합동 공연을 시작으로 다채로운 무대를 예고했다. 싱글 ‘Fallin’’은 오늘 정오 국내외 음원 사이트에 공개됐으며, 루비살롱을 비롯해 오프라인 공연 현장에서도 그 감동을 직접 만날 수 있다.
