The toy is knitted to a great pattern called ‘Joris’ - by the terribly clever Annita Wilschut / Zij Maakt Het - on Ravelry. Knitted in one piece with lots of clever shaping - minimal stitching up. A perfect size - he sits in the hand so nicely … I just love Annita’s patterns.
Joris has an aubergine shaped body, long limbs with hands & feet of cute ‘claws’, his face has a very ‘Roman’ profile and he has spiky ‘hair’.
The yarn us a self-striping sock yarn (4ply) by Regia - bought a long time ago - one of the Kaffe Fassett ‘design lines’ (04352). It makes bands of nice Autumn colours - browns, orange, russet, pale grey …
