Photochrome-style picture of an anthropomorphic mountain lion wearing a buckskin, fur-lined coat over a button-up shirt and crudely worn Edwardian necktie. He also has a large knife strapped to his belt, which was the style at the time (it was not).
He doesn't look terribly enthusiastic about having his picture taken, but that's just a consequence of photography of the day. And of felines having resting "I can scratch you at any moment" face. It's an unfortunate combination.

Charlie flipped through the backdrops until revealing one that looked like a representation of a lake's shore. "What do you think of this one?" the photographer asked. Nathan just nodded in response. "Excellent," the coyote acknowledged.
Nathan walked towards the backdrop, but Charlie stopped him. "Ah, not meaning to be rude," the coyote said with paws raised, "but would you like to look through the wardrobe before we set you up?"
Nathan stopped his ears from going flat, but he couldn't help his brow from rising and the tip of his tail flicking. He pulled on one of the lapels of his buckskin overcoat. "What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" he asked. He ran a paw over his disheveled fur and pressed, "Should I go see the barber, too?"
"No, no, it's all fine!" Charlie said quickly, his ears pulling back in the way canines' do when they're being apologetic. "It's just that for all the time and expense of getting your portrait done in color and send it East, wouldn't you like to look more⦠modern?"
"I'd like to look how I look," Nathan replied.
Charlie genuflected and said, "It's your portrait, friend," and gestured towards the set. However, Nathan sighed and glanced towards the racks of clothes on the side of the studio. He quickly grabbed a necktie and crudely tied it so that it hung low, then followed Charlie's directions of where to stand on the set.
Once Nathan was in place, Charlie moved about the studio adjusting the blinds on the windows and skylights to draw in as much light from the outside as he could. However, with the poor conditions outside, Charlie resorted to arranging incandescent lamps behind diffusers around the studio until he appeared satisfied.
After making a few more adjustments to the camera, Charlie took the shutter release cable and stepped to its side. "All right, are you ready?" Nathan blinked slowly, causing Charlie to smile as he counted down, "Three, two, oneβlook pleasant, please," and pressed the release button with a *click*.
