Wow. Hamnet is visually resplendent. Nature is captured with such simplistic and exquisite beauty. The natural lighting gives the scenes a lived-in realism rather than manufactured artificiality. Chloe Zhao and cinematographer Łukasz Żal performed magic.

I love seeing how Shakespeare plays were actually received during their heyday as opposed to how revered they are today. The crowd gasping and cheering during the Globe Theater performance at the end of #Hamnet is a fun reminder that ol' Will knew exactly how to play to a crowd.

Glad to hear that the use of “On the Nature of Daylight” by Max #Richter in “ #Hamnet ”, was not a choice of Richter. He wanted to use newly written music for all of the movie.
But I think the inclusion works against his #oscar chances. 😬
