Months after Jean Grey's death on the moon, Scott Summers the X-Men's Cyclops - met Madelyne Pryor, a woman who looked almost exactly like Jean! Initially Scott suspected that Madelyne had something to do with Jean. Details such as Madelyne surviving a plane crash the day Jean died were difficult to explain. But Scott eventually dismissed them as coincidences and soon married Madelyne. They moved to Alaska and had a son, Nathan Christopher Summers. But one day, Scott received a life-altering phone call. Jean Grey was alive! He rushed to New York without telling Madelyne what had happened, infuriating her.
