Wanted to play the new #qbj3 on my Steam Deck (already tried the standalone in Win)
I had already installed #LibreQuake in here (which includes Ironwail), so I only had to download the mod files and voilà, it plays seamlessly
Got surprised because this has rumble and gyro controls too, very cool!

minor adjustments here and there really but i think changes like the positioning of the lights works much better, they were crowding the chestplate a bit on the topside and nestling them deeper into the detail means i can paint some fake highlights/glow coming off them

bit more polish on the #LibreQuake Enforcer texture I was working on a while back, needs love still but the shading pops a lot nicer now for sure. not sure what i'm gonna do with the boots in particular still but i'm sure i'll figure it out

some progress on, and new textures for #LibreQuake E1M1 starting area
comparison of the new and old texture. it is a rusty cast iron wall with a demonic creature's face embossed upon the surface, painted as pixel art on the Quake 1 palette. of particular interest is the improved shading and use of colour on the embossed face, however there is also subtle polish on the rusty cast iron backing texture as well.
polishing up this wall texture for #librequake - original one by @lavender.pet is based on a FreeDoom texture. needs some more love still but i'm quite happy with it already

here's my iteration on one of them! lots of paint on top but i kept all the shapes the same. i'm thinking i'll still change the highlights from those rounded corners to have their hotspots thinner and on the very edge because they play nicer with simple box BSPs when light is applied.
