A National Disability Insurance Program #NDIP would support families that have a child born with a lifelong disability from birth to end of life. The child wouldn’t “age out” of services.
All costs associated with a disability would be included (entitlement based), non-means tested and portable.
It would be nation building with positive economic returns by way of less emergency care, healthcare, policing, incarceration, mental illness, food insecurity, drug abuse and homelessness. An #NDIP would bring equity between urban, rural, hard to reach and Indigenous nations.
