As an addendum to this, as a tall man, I can’t help but see what’s happening on the top of other people’s heads. Let me tell you, there’s many a man who clearly spends a lot of time and care on their hair who have a surprise coming for them. No judgement, just observing.

As I shaved my head this morning, I reflected, not for the first time, how I wasted hair when I had it and I’m much happier about it now.
(I started clipping before I even knew I was going bald, so it’s not like I particularly missed it…. Although I do wear hats indoors now)

“Oh, I’ve made a tactical error and left my gloves at home”, said a runner at #parkrun this morning… who was wearing shorts, a t-shirt and no hat.
Young people, eh? I was wearing shorts, but also three layers (including down), a hat and my mittens.

I remember reading somewhere that the sleeping bags Scott + his men had against the Antarctic expedition cold in 1910 were the equivalent, in today’s money, of 5 tog. As I bewail my cold toes, in my electric blanket warmed bed, under a 13 tog feather cloud #nesh
